SUMMER CINEMA IN MONSELICE

Open air cinema is back in the garden of Villa Pisani. Here the program for all Wednesdays from July 10th to August 7th at 9.15 PM:

10/07 >> A Star is Born by Bradley Cooper (USA, 2018, 135′) with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper
Seasoned musician Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally (Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer – until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.

Paolo lives a quiet life in Palermo with his wife and two kids, working as an engineer. One day, he is left only one hour and 32 minutes to deal with the significant aspects of his life, after a car accident.

JULY 20TH TRIP TO THE MOON To celebrate 50 years from Moon landing

From 8 PM >> Food from Venetian tradition by Ostaria Nòva.

9 PM >> The Moon in a glass: the influence of stars in biodynamic agriculture and in the wine-maker work, with Davide Boldrin, agrisommelier and Nicola Dal Santo of I Castagnucoli.

10 PM >> Grimoon – Vers la Lune – cinematic and psychedelic pop

Alberto Stevanato: voice, guitar; Solenn Le Marchand: voice, analogic synth

Grimoon presents “Vers La Lune”, an unusual intergalactic musical and visual trip between rock, electronic and psychedelic that tells the story of three characters and their adventures in Space, in a completely animated film. The music to the film will be live. Astrid Dante (Miss Chain & The Broken Heels), Elisa De Munari (Elli de Mon – onewomanband) e Giusi Pesenti (Dry & Dusty, Grace O’Malley Quartet) are putting their whole experience, backgroud and personality in this new adventure called Kalahysteri, a neologism meaning “Beautiful Histeria”. Their music is a trip for the listener to a parallel universe, pointing right to the heart of pop music. Their songs are raw and naked, intriguing, deep and dreamy, going from blues to power pop, from folk to rock’n’roll; Just like pop songs played with traditional instruments.

Jennifer Cabrera Fernandez: voice, dance; Alvise Seggi: bass, oud; Pietro Valente: drum set.

“3rd Root” project is the new ethno world music project by Jennifer Cabrera. It’s about her origins, of ancient Mexican roots and 3rd African ones. A mix of powerful sounds, new and modern. The peculiar voice of the singer, her tales and dances, will take you to fascinating atmospheres. With her onstage Alvise Seggi will take on tha bass and oud, with his jazz and African international background. 10 PM >> Ajde Zorabalkan gipsy music

Milica Polignano: Voice; Giulio Gavardi: Guitar, saz and sax; Micol Tosatti: Violin; Francesco Mattarello: Accordion; Giorgio Marinaro: bass;  Francesco Prearo: Drums

The “Ajde Zora” project arises from four musicians meeting the Serbian singer Milica Polignano. Their repertoire mixes Balkans traditional songs with pieces, nostalgic and energetic, of East European Gipsy tradition. the band rearranges traditional music where energy and passion overflow between dances and ballads, telling stories of people with a tormented past.

POETRY SLAM IN VILLA PISANI

POETRY SLAM – SATURDAY JULY 6TH

POETRY SLAM – Saturday July 6th

Poetry Slam is a competition born in the streets from the need to connect writing with performing and from the desire to shape a new language. The candidates will defy one another onstage with just their pieces of writing, their voice and body. Five people will be drew from the audience to award the best performance.

The event is arranged in collaboration with EnnESIMA organization from Este, valid for Lega Italiana Poetry Slam. The night will be hosted by Lorenzo Maragoni and Diego Tale Scantamburlo.

EnnESIMA Associazione Culturale is a project born in the city of Este, a box of ideas and cultural actions. They deal especially with poetry, not in an academic way but in a way that is close to the people. The objective is to cover, with the energy and contribution of everyone that will be willing to participate in the enterprise, the highest possible number of expressive form of this period in time.

Free conscious offer for entrance to the event.

July 24th >> Green Book by Peter Farrelly (USA, 2018, 130’) with Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali – The friendship between an italian-american bodyguard and an african american pianist about to leave for a tour in the 60s.

July 31st >> Gli incredibili 2 by Brad Bird (USA, 2018, 130’) voices by Amanda Lear, Ambra Angiolini and Bebe Vio – The new adventure of Gli Incredibli – a “regular” superhero family.

August 8th >> Momenti di trascurabile felicità by Daniele Lucchetti (Italy, 2019, 93’) with Pif, Thony and Renato Carpentieri – The story of Paolo, that is left only one hour and 32 minutes to deal with the significant aspects of his life.
